This was at least Hammond's second marriage, as he is listed as a widow in the 1861 census.14,15 Hammond Thomas Abbs appeared on the England Census of 1871 at the ship "Albion", Vessels, Suffolk, England.12 He died on 13 January 1905 at Cromer, Norfolk, England, at age 89.16,17 His estate was probated on 10 February 1905 at Norwich, Norfolk, England.18 Hammond Thomas Abbs' effects were valued at £144, 16s., 3d.19
